CARBOY established in 1980 as a repairing car magazine, after that we got stuck into tuning. From street drug race boom in mid-80's to drift racing boom in early 90's, and don't forget the big movement of tuning cars・・・CARBOY have always been in the middle of booms in street racing. CARBOY used to support the drift racing and made some racers to be stars, like Keiichi Tsuchiya and Manabu Orido.

Now in the 21 century, tuning world is totally matured and be loved by adults, so that CARBOY try to provide deeper and efficient information than ever. And off course, cost performance is a top priority. CARBOY support amateur engineers called ''privaters(!)'' in our own ''CARBOY garage'' in Higashi-yamato-shi, suburban Tokyo. They say 'I desperate to enjoy driving my original car!', and we say 'OK! CARBOY show you how.' It is not only about spec but feeling. CARBOY keep tuning any kinds of automobile such as Japanese, imported, and old cars.

In 2004 CARBOY garage was renewed thanks to our editorial staffs efforts, now it is lent out to privaters. Also CARBOY built up our own cars there to report the process on our magazine. We believe any cars could run wild and be competitive with those gorgeous sports cars. Install drug CARBOY!!
